Noah will be 2 on Friday, March 27th. Time sure has flown. He is a walking, talking, laughing, dancing little man. I can understand almost everything he says, although his language is something that mostly only mommy can understand. He has lots of thoughts:
1. I need orange juice.
2. My mouth hurts.
3. Noah no likes that.
4. I play ball. I need a tennis racket.
5. I need candy.
6. N-O-A-H spells Noah.
7. N-O-A-H spells mom.
8. Bye daddy, going to the store.
9. Daddy, get to work!
10. Daddy, GET DRESSED!
The list goes on. He has so much to say!

FRENCH FRIES
Noah loves french fries. He was walking around carrying his microphone tonight when dad asked him to sing a song about french fries. Here's his song: "Rock a bye baby, on the tree top, french fries." To him it was a song and it was about french fries. I guess you had to be here - we were rolling with laughter.

FROM THE MOUTH OF NOAH
1. He was sitting in a cardboard box pretending it was a bathtub. We put balls in the "tub" to pretend they were bubbles. Noah looked at me and said, "mommy, wash my balls." HA!
2. We were playing and I handed him something so he commented politely, "thank you honey." Apparently that's a frequent response of Wendy's, his daycare provider and he's picked it up.
3. He woke up Saturday morning at 5:45 calling for me from his crib. I went in to see him and get him up for the day. He commented, "Mommy was at the sleep. Mommy, I need cherries."
I'm SURE there will be more to come.

GYMNASTICS
Noah has been taking gymnastics classes for a few months now. Today after school he decided that we needed to play gymnastics and orchestrated the removal of all the couch cushions and pillows and arranged them on the floor in the living room. He spent most of the afternoon and evening climbing up on the couch and diving onto the sea of cushions/pillows on the floor exclaiming, "GYMNASTICS!" with every jump. What a ham.

GARBAGE
Noah is obsessed with garbage lately. Not actual gross garbage, but garbage trucks, garbage cans, garbage men, etc. Tonight he refused to eat his dinner (ANY of it). I asked him what he wanted for dinner and he smiled and said, "garbage". Oh, he'll get garbage alright! Anytime we play with his blocks we must build a garbage truck, garbage cans, and a landfill of sorts where the garbage truck can drive to and dump the cans. The only block person we own is a little girl who Noah (okay, mom) has named Connie. He is very affectionate toward Connie, the garbage woman.

SNOW DAY
The NH snow is falling once again. I got a taste of spring last week when Noah and I went outside and splashed in puddles and threw rocks in them. Noah loves the carpet that dad installed in the closets and thinks that they are giant dance floors that he can boogie and roll around in. Too cute. He's been a little naughty lately, hitting me instead of using gentle touches. When he goes into time-out he scoots his way around and out of it on his bum.

March 1, 2009
My first official blog. Have had the idea for some time and when a friend launched hers I finally got motivated. I'm not completely sure how often I will keep up with it, but I have good intentions. I am now at the start of my 3rd trimester and the nursery is still full of my closet belongings - no worries though, Chris is chipping away at the projects in between work and Noah's naps. Dad and Noah were up together at 5:15 this morning, so maybe dad will take a nap while Noah is today!
